Congratulations! Your student has completed the Sample Scoring Battery. This report will help you interpret his or her scores on this battery. It will also reveal areas of strengths and weaknesses identified by the test. We recommend that you print a copy for future reference.

1. Score and Peer Comparisons

 In a box at the top of the pages that follow, you will find your student’s name, age, grade and other demographic information. If any of this information is outdated, inaccurate or incomplete, please go to the My Info (and Scores) area of Kidtest.com and provide an update. You will also find the date and time your student initially started the KBS examination. On the last line in the information box, the report identifies the group percentile scores are calculated against.

Your Kidtest Benchmarked SequenceSM scores appear for every subject and as an overall measure. The report presents your student’s scores graphically and numerically. On the left side of the report (see below or above), you will see your student’s Percentile Scores given by a bar chart with blue bars. This chart tells you how your student compares to other students who have taken the same KBS battery online.

The bottom of the graph shows percentile score ranges that are considered below average, average and above average. In the center of the average range is the 50th percentile. Half the students who took this battery fall below the 50th percentile.

On the right of the report you will see your student’s percentage score in each category represented graphically on a scale from 0% to 100%. This score tells you the proportion of questions answered correctly overall and in each subject area. For example, in Language, your student answered 67% of the questions correctly. The center portion of the report gives the numerical values for the percentile score, the number of questions overall and in each subject, the number of questions your student answered correctly, and the percentage score corresponding to the Percentage Score graph.

2. Important Notes

You should keep in mind that the Kidtest Benchmarked SequenceSM Battery is not a set of standardized exams, per se. Rather, it is a collection of exams carefully developed according to nationally recognized standards. While we report a comparison of your student’s scores to at least a benchmark peer group, it is not possible to verify that all exams are taken under precisely the same test-taking conditions. In addition, the comparison does not attempt to control for differences between this set of peer groups and the overall student population. Since the Kidtest.comSM member population is likely to have higher tests scores on average than the overall population, your student’s percentile scores might increase were this adjustment possible.

PRIVACY FOR PARENTS, OTHER ADULTS AND KIDS

Parents and Other Adults

Kidtest.com takes your concerns about privacy seriously. We intend to make every reasonable effort to protect you. Kidtest is also concerned about the safety and protection of children's personal information collected and used online (see privacy policy for children below).
When you communicate with us online or use any of our online services, we may add your e-mail address to our electronic mailing list so that, from time to time, we can send you information about new features, additions, and changes in our website.
In addition, we may from time to time provide your demographic information including your e-mail address to third parties that we determine provide or refer goods or services, which might be of interest to you.
When you order Kidtest.com products and services online, your credit card information is verified and used for order filling and processing your bill. If you would like to confirm the accuracy of any information that we may have collected from you, please write to info@kidtest.com.

Kids Under Age 13

Kidtest.com encourages parents to be involved with and aware of their children's online experience. Members under 13 years of age shouldn't submit or post information at Kidtest.com's web site without the consent of their parent or guardian.
Unless otherwise disclosed during collection, Kidtest.com does not provide any personally identifying information, regardless of its source, to any third party, for any purpose whatsoever from our members under 13 years of age except as expressly provided by this privacy policy. We don't use any information collected from visitors under 13 years of age for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever, either inside or outside Kidtest.com, except as we explicitly state during registration for contests and promotions. In that case, the information collected is used only for the specific contest or promotion.
When a child under age 13 registers with any of our sites, we request a minimum amount of information in order to process the registration including a first name, the last name, e-mail address and parent's e-mail address. All members receive an e-mail confirming their registration. We also send the child's parent or guardian an e-mail alerting them to the child's registration and giving them the chance to cancel the registration and ask the child's information be deleted from our records.
Members under age 13 do not have access to Kidtest.com's services or features that might collect personally identifiable information without prior verifiable parental consent. Therefore, children may participate in such activities upon registration, unless their parent or guardian asks that their registration be ievalidated.
Although members under 13 years of age may be allowed to participate in some contests and promotions, if such a member wins, notification and prizes are sent to the parents or guardians identified in the initial registration process. Publication of contest winners names, ages, or images of individuals under 13 requires parental or guardian consent.
Kidtest.com does not require a child under 13 to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in a testing or learning activity as a condition of participation.

Kids Age 13 Through 17

Teens age 13-17 are required to provide the e-mail address of a parent or guardian when they register at our Kidtest.com web site. We then e-mail a notification message to the teen's parent or guardian that identifies the information supplied at registration.
